These paintings are created intuitively with no plan. Just a joyous splashing of colour and form. They are intuitive and inspired by whatever feeling or mood takes me at the time. I don’t limit myself by formalising technique and I use whatever is at hand at the time. They might be Acrylic or Oils or both. I might hand cut some stensils or use rags or scrunched plastic wrap to create texture and movement. They have a freedom and pleasure about them and usually occurs after I’ve created a body of work that is very exacting and feel like just throwing paint around for the sheer enjoyment of it. They are a true soul expression.
