Round Hill 1770

Round Hill 1770

Agnes Waters & 1770 are places of historical significance to Australia.  They were the site of the grounding of the ship “Endeavour” with Cptn Cook.  He ran aground on the southern end of the Great Barrier Reef and had to stop here for repairs.  It’s also a site of immense natural beauty.  I stood on the platform at the top of the hill while my husband and son walked the track to the top of the headland on the right hand side and stood below the Pandannus tree at the point.

This is a large work and will make stunning statement piece in any room
