Rhonda Armistead is a contemporary Artist from Lismore in the Northern Rivers of New South Wales, Australia. Mediums include, Oils and Acrylics on Canvas, Reduction Plate Lino Prints, Etchings on Acrylic Plates, Drawings, Sketches in Pencil and Charcoal and Fine Line Pen. Her paintings include Portraits, Landscapes and Contemporary Abstract pieces. Commonly, she explores the intrinsic biodiversity and nature studies of the Region along with expressive portraiture and dramatic combinations of both, usually with an underlying message encapsulated within the symbolism and aesthetic of the work. Rhonda also produces a range of hand crafted jewelry under the name of "Web of Life Designs" All her works are an intimate conversation between head, heart and hand.

Barebones

Well folks I've just spent 2 days mounting up a heap of etchings and prints to drop off to the lovely people at Barebones Art Space in Bangalow and take my entry up the the Border Art Prize in Murwillumbah.  Fingers Crossed.  It would be nice to have the work accepted to be hung at

Colour In Your Life.

What an exciting and exhausting experience being filmed for Colour In Your Life.  Graeme and Sophia and Jen turned up early in the morning and got straight down to business.  They're a well oiled team I can say that much.  It takes quite a while to set up all the filming gear and get prepared.

Acrylic Plate Etchings.

So.....when you have a Picture Framing shop you end up with heaps of small off-cuts.  I give loads of small mat board bits away to the local Primary Schools and Kindys for their projects, but no-0ne really can use the left over small bits of glass and perspex.  It always seems a shame to throw

New Website
